With one of the largest halls in Italy, the Donizetti Theatre is one of the main Italian-style theatres and the bearer of a long tradition. The Theatre’s horseshoe-shaped hall is surmounted by three tiers of boxes and two galleries facing the wide stalls. An elegant foyer is used to receive guests and organise the reception.
The heart of the Donizetti Theatre’s activity, thanks to its perfect visibility and excellent acoustics, the hall has been hosting shows and concerts for more than two hundred years.
Following three years of work that involved a global renovation and architectural recovery, the Theatre has once again become a true home of culture, a dynamic place, a temple of multidisciplinary skills, and today a modern Theatre in line with the latest safety regulations.

Con una delle sale più vaste d’Italia, il Teatro Donizetti è uno dei principali teatri all’italiana, portatore di una lunga tradizione. La sala teatrale, a ferro di cavallo, è sormontata da tre ordini di palchi e due gallerie che si affacciano sull’ampia platea. Un elegante foyer consente di ricevere gli ospiti e organizzare l’accoglienza.

A seguito dei tre anni di lavori che hanno comportato un intervento globale di restauro e recupero architettonico, il teatro è tornato a configurarsi come una vera e propria casa della cultura, luogo dinamico, tempio della pluridisciplinarietà, ad oggi un teatro moderno in linea con le più recenti normative di sicurezza.
