Sogno viennese. Cent’anni di allegria
Dreaming is, by definition, a sequence of images where, often, it is sweet to lull oneself to sleep. Viennese Dream is intended to be this: a show that moves between historical reconstruction and pure entertainment, becoming not only “divertissement”, but also a moment of knowledge of the world of operetta. A sequence of sumptuous, fast-paced scenes are the leitmotif for the revival of famous titles and the discovery of others that are less frequently performed (Puccini also wrote for Vienna, and perhaps not everyone knows that!)
A show that is always smiling, with signs of continuous merriment in the corners of the mouth and in the eyes: “allegretto sostenuto” as one would say in music!
This is how a “revue” was born, where the rhythm of the narration and the harmony of the melodic cues unite and merge in a sequence of cheerful and carefree episodes, of arias and concerted pieces supported by the music of Strauss, Zeller, Von Suppè, Lehàr, Abraham, Puccini, performed live by an orchestral group, interpreted by the soloists of the Company and choreographed for the Ballet of Parma.
A show, therefore, of lightness and seduction where, while dancing a whirling waltz, you may happen to fall in love, because this music melts hearts and warms the soul.
Good fun!
