HISTORIES OF YOUNG PEOPLE KILLING IN THE AGE OF RAGE
In recent years, as we often read in the main national media, there have been numerous cases of very young people involved in brutal murders, committed without any apparent motive, or at least with non-traditional motives, such as 'revenge or greed”. We speak of young people murdered by their peers, of confessed perpetrators of heinous crimes or of family massacres.
Vicious episodes of crime, which testify – according to Bruzzone – to the profound sense of inadequacy that these young people find themselves experiencing. Feelings long brooding in the darkness of their minds, while anger and anguish nourished their “sé grandiose”.
Roberta Bruzzone will take us to explore the dark side of the boys who kill, in the so-called 'age of rage', reconstructing with surgical precision the psychological and educational path that led to such disturbing scenarios, in order to draw useful warnings to decipher the psyche of these young people and support parents in their complex task as educators. To prevent something similar from happening again.
