La Magnifica Quartet: DVOŘÁK, GIRAMONDO BOEMO

A musical journey through epochs and geography, guided by the expressive intensity and refined understanding of La Magnifica Quartet. The programme proposes a dialogue between Viennese classicism and the popular suggestions of Central Europe and the New World, highlighting the richness of timbre and narrative of the string quartet.
The evening opens with Franz Joseph Haydn's famous Quartet Op. 76 No. 2, known as the “Quartet of the Fifths” an admirable example of formal balance and thematic invention. Between dynamic contrasts and subtle irony, Haydn constructs a musical discourse of extraordinary vitality.
The heart of the programme is dedicated to Antonín Dvořák, the protagonist of an ideal “Bohemian wanderer”. The Quartet No. 12 “Americano” was born during his stay in the United States and reflects a fascinating encounter between European tradition and American folk suggestions: sweeping melodies, incisive rhythms and a sense of expressive freedom pervade the entire composition.
The Zwei Walzer op. 54 completes the journey and offers a more intimate and light-hearted look, where the elegance of the waltz is tinged with freshness and vivacity.
The stars of this evening are Enrico Casazza and Isabella Longo on violins, Christian Serazzi on viola and Eugenio Solinas on cello: four musicians united by a profound interpretative sensibility, capable of rendering every nuance of a timeless repertoire.
A concert that invites attentive listening and the pleasure of discovery, between popular roots and great chamber music tradition.
