Gianluigi Trovesi and the Gruppo Fiati Musica Aperta GIOCANDO CON LE NOTE

An apparently casual encounter: on the one hand, a text, written notes, at first sight defined, which are nevertheless deliberately left unfinished, lacking a conclusive seal; on the other hand, curiosity and play, as if someone, picking up the lost sheets of paper, were in tune with the writing and tried to complete it, adapting their imagination to what they found to lead to results that are each time unpredictable.
The starting point draws on compositions that are already fully defined, subjected to a process of “rereading” that could be compared to photographing an object from different points of view: in this way, the spaces left to improvisation are opened up.It should also be borne in mind that the compositions placed under the lens had already developed from well-defined musical situations of the past: the Renaissance villanelles, Gesualdo's madrigals, Puccini... A game of mirrors multiplied and diffused.
The project is configured as a work in progress, so the exact definition of the programme will be communicated at the time of the performance.
Pieralberto Cattaneo has traced the lines of the design. Gianluigi Trovesi (piccolo and alto clarinet) and Marco Remondini (cello) will be the protagonists, in dialogue with some instrumentalists   (flute, English horn, soprano sax, bass clarinet, bassoon) from the Gruppo Fiati Musica Aperta.
