Falstaff. The Merry Toys of Windsor – School Performances
Scattered around Windsor's bedroom, his toys don't stand still! They meet, chase each other and never get bored. Also because there is no shortage of jokes, and behind every prank there is always the old robot Falstaff, once the family's favourite toy, now put aside, all rusty and dusty, but eager to get back into the hearts of the children at home, and willing to do anything to do so. His latest idea is a scam involving the two newcomers, Alice and Meg. Fresh with purchase as they are, all he has to do is to make them fall at his feet to get back into the family's favourite toy cupboard. They may be dolls, but they don't intend to be made fun of, on the contrary!
Thus begins a whirlwind of pranks and disguises that will also be an opportunity for all the toys to learn to joke, but with respect and without taking anyone for granted. On the contrary, by going beyond differences and stereotypes, it will be a time for them to discover that they are much more alike than they imagined.
DIDACTICAL
The game and the importance of rules will be the didactic setting for all our activities, as well as being themes inherent in the show they will see in the theatre. Another fundamental and very important theme that will be proposed as food for thought will be teasing and the prevention of bullying; furthermore, taking a cue from the fat Falstaff, it will be interesting to draw up with the pupils guidelines for a correct lifestyle.

Opera Education performances are participative, involving the audience of young spectators through singing and gestures. Children and young people arrive at the theatre prepared to take part in the performance and become the real protagonists, singing some arias and intervening with small props.
The theatre performance marks the completion of a journey that begins months earlier for teachers who are prepared through training sessions recognised by the Ministry of Education and Merit in accordance with Directive 170/2016, in which AsLiCo teachers introduce the elements for understanding opera in the round, teaching the main operatic arias that the children will sing from the stalls and providing some practical elements for constructing the props that they will use during the performance. Everything takes place in an atmosphere of play and interdisciplinary involvement.
Alongside the school performances, there are also performances open to the public called Opera Family, to give children the opportunity to share the magic of opera with their families.
Music, theatre, play, literature, history, current affairs and interdisciplinary content accompany educators, teachers, children, young people and families on a journey through one of humanity's intangible cultural heritages from year to year. The ultimate aim is to awaken the interest and curiosity of children and young people about opera theatre, which is the most complex and multifaceted art form of the Italian cultural heritage.
