MEET THE JAZZ: Everyone wants to do jazz

On stage, the gospel choir of the Diaz primary school fifth classes, created in a workshop held in previous months by CDpM experts and directed by Gabriele Capitanio, performs alongside a group of jazz musicians and the well-known children's TV actor Oreste Castagna in a reading of fairy tales revisited by Tiziana Sallese.

The repertoire draws from the Disney catalogue such as “Beauty an the beast”,  “A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes” (Cinderella), “Everybody wants to be a cat” (Aristocats), “Cruella Demon” (The Charge of the 101), The different performances are interspersed with recitations from the different animated films. The boys and girls are involved in the instrumental performances with some melodic riffs performed according to the call and response technique and some rhythmic claves that fit into the instrumental and choral arrangement proposed on stage.

At the opening, the marchin band of the Rosmini Primary School accompanies the students to the stalls.
