I Promessi Sposi by Alessandro Manzoni

Work published between 1840 and 1842 in 106 handouts, later bound into a single work edited by the author, reissued by Fondazione Banca Popolare di Bergamo in 1985 to mark the bicentenary of Alessandro Manzoni’s birth.

On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of Alessandro Manzoni’s death (May 22, 1873), Fondazione Banca Popolare di Bergamo is donating some volumes of Manzoni’s precious literary work to Fondazione Teatro Donizetti with the aim of financing solidarity projects dedicated, in particular, to younger people.

The work can be acquired by anyone who wishes to participate in the charity initiative with a donation starting from 100 euros. Information and donations at the Donizetti Theater Box Office or by contacting theater staff during performances.
