EUMENIDI. All, all of her father I am

The study of the Greek classics, and in particular the Eumenides by Eschylus, is been a thunderbolt for me: the story of the passage from an archaic justice, embodied by the Erinyes, to a masculine justice, wanted by Athena, founded on the primacy of the father and on order.
All, all of the father I am is a journey into Eumenides, conducted with the same group of Supplici, as a permanent workshop on the classics in a choral and contemporary key. The seven actresses are the Eumenides and the story is told from their point of view.
The rewriting starts at the end: the Erinyes, now tamed by Athena, search backwards for their past.
If Aeschylus recounts the passage from Erinyes to Eumenides, we attempt the opposite journey, questioning myth and history: did a time exist that was governed by the feminine principle? And what happened then?
In the clash between the Furies and Athena, the political and social principles that still govern us are founded. Male and female, archaic forces present in all of us, continue to move the world.
