The Donizetti Theater Foundation now represents a true social square for the city.

Donizetti embodied the spirit of self-sacrifice to work typical of Bergamasque people. In his lifetime he composed 73 operas, as well as numerous symphonic and chamber compositions from the sacred and secular repertoire. He is one of the most internationally performed composers with more than 1,500 performances each year worldwide. At
global level, nearly 2 million people travel annually to attend Donizetti’s operas: this is an exceptional opportunity to be able to welcome them to his hometown.

Supporting the Donizetti Theater Foundation in a phase of radical innovation and growth means supporting the cultural identity of the Bergamo community, in which large international companies, an important productive and entrepreneurial fabric, and a growing tourism potential coexist.

The goal behind the Donizetti Ambassadors project is to create a widespread culture about Gaetano Donizetti, represented by 73 patrons, one for each title in his repertoire, plus one, the Maestro, who represents the composer. The Donizetti Ambassadors aim to be a symbol of the city of Bergamo in the world through the composer’s name and the prestige of its participants.

Joining means not only tying your name to the world of culture, but also investing in a social responsibility and international communication project for Bergamo and its businesses.

The Art Bonus is a great opportunity to enhance Italy’s historical-artistic heritage. In fact, by donating you will be able to enjoy a 65 percent tax credit, to be divided into 3 equal annual installments, also by offsetting through F24, within the limit of 5 per thousand of the company’s turnover.
