The concert\u2019s guests will include <strong>Gianluigi Trovesi<\/strong>, the most internationally renowned of Bergamo\u2019s jazz musicians; the <strong>Musica Aperta Wind Ensemble<\/strong> (Giovanni Perico on flute, Giuseppe Cattaneo on English horn, Roberto Bergamelli on bass clarinet, Ugo Gelmi on bassoon, and Roger Rota on bassoon and alto saxophone), and cellist <strong>Marco Remondini<\/strong>, a frequent collaborator of the Nembro-born musician. During the concert, <strong>Marco Buscarino<\/strong> will read his short story <em>*Il maestro*<\/em> aloud.  <\/p>\n<p>The concert is titled <strong><em>Playing with Notes<\/em><\/strong> and is based on an idea by <strong>Pieralberto Cattaneo, director <\/strong>of the Musica Aperta Wind Ensemble, who conceived it as an encounter between music and words: on one hand, there is a text; on the other, written notes\u2014which, at first glance, seem defined but are nevertheless deliberately left unfinished, lacking a final touch. All of this is done in the spirit of curiosity and play, as if someone, picking up the lost sheets of paper, were to tune into the text and try to complete it by adapting their imagination to what they\u2019ve found, leading to outcomes that are unpredictable each time.<br \/>\nThe starting point draws on compositions that are already fully defined, subjected to a process of \u201creinterpretation\u201d that could be compared to photographing an object from different angles: in this way, spaces are opened up for improvisation. The compositions under scrutiny draw on musical situations from the past: Renaissance villanelles, Gesualdo\u2019s madrigals, and Puccini\u2019s arias.
