    The house where Gaetano Donizetti was born is a 5-story building dating back to the medieval period<\/strong>. The Donizetti family lived in the basement. Purchased by the Municipality of Bergamo in 1925, in 1926 the building was declared a National Monument<\/strong> as it was “of historical interest”. On the occasion of the first centenary of Donizetti’s death (1948), and then in 1973, the basement was restored and opened to the public. In 2007, the Municipality of Bergamo initiated restoration works that led to its complete opening in 2009 and the management being entrusted to the Donizetti Theater Foundation.<\/p>\n

    The visit includes access to the various historically significant areas of the building in order to provide an overview of the life of the Bergamo composer<\/strong> with references to events related to his teacher Mayr<\/strong> and the theater<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>

    Impronte Sonore<\/em> is a sonic journey into the past<\/strong>, into the voices<\/strong> and sounds<\/strong> of the times and places of young Gaetano Donizetti<\/strong>. Through binaural microphone recording, an engaging holophonic narrative has been created, capable of evoking the daily life of a humble 19th-century family and immersing the listener in three-dimensional sound environments.
    \nImpronte Sonore<\/em>, thanks to its uniqueness compared to a traditional audio guide, accompanies the \u201cuser not through sight, but through\u201d hearing. The \u201capplication allows customization of the route and visit time. The visitor can thus freely navigate through the contents of the three floors of the birthplace, respectively\u201d\u201cThe house where he was born\u201d, \u201cThe\u201d Student and the Teacher\u201d and \u201cThe Donizetti Theater\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>
