Fabrizio Bosso, one of the most important and technically skilled Italian jazz trumpet players and whose fame has long since crossed national borders, is performing for the first time in Bergamo with his usual quartet. A quartet that is well established both in the recording studio and on the stages of half the world, which travels the main road of jazz with personality and immense energy. The We Four record has just been released, one whose title encapsulates the sonoric identity and rhythmic vitality of an excellent line-up.

Recorded in Rome on 5 June 2020 (immediately after the forced confinement due to the Coronavirus epidemic), We Four is not only the result of the will to continue making music despite everything happening at the time, but also a work devoid of any post-production artificiality. This leaves the quartet itself as the sole focus, one in which each individual musical detail lends to the gestalt of the project.

Born in Turin in 1973, Fabrizio Bosso has made a considerable name for himself. At the tender age of 15, he graduated from his hometown conservatory and over the course of his brilliant career has collaborated with numerous other jazz musicians, such as Paolo Fresu, Aldo Romano, Gianni Basso, Stefano Di Battista, Randy Brecker, Charlie Haden, Franco D’Andrea and Rita Marcotulli, as well as with songwriters and pop musicians like Fabio Concato, Sergio Cammariere, Claudio Baglioni, Bruno Lausi, rapper Frankie Hi-NRG, Nina Zilli, Renato Zero, Tiziano Ferro and Peppe Servillo.
