International Piano Festival of Brescia and Bergamo
2025 EDITION
NIGHTS OF SPAIN
For the first time as the protagonist of a Festival edition, the quintessential Latin country has always exerted an almost exotic fascination among European composers. Starting from the most important piano works of the Spanish world, Albéniz’s Iberia, Granados’ Goyescas, Manuel de Falla’s Nights in the Gardens of Spain, which represent the soul and traditions of this nation, the Festival will alternate “musical postcards” by composers who had no direct ties with Spain, while evoking it musically within their works – Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Liszt and Debussy – and authors who instead breathed the “Spanish nights”, such as Ravel, Chopin and Scarlatti.
Tribute to Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli on the 30th Anniversary of His Passing
In 2025, the Festival will commemorate 30 years since the death of Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli, whose artistic legacy is more alive than ever.
