Eighteen strings, hammers, propellers, springs, separate outputs for each string, objects stolen from everyday life: all this contributes to making absolutely original and unique, the instrument that Paolo Angeli invented starting from the traditional Sardinian guitar. In it, as in the music of the same musician from Sassari, tradition and innovation therefore coexist, ancient and modern sounds, in a surprising mix of choirs in tasgia, jazz, rock, noise, avant pop.
For the occasion Paolo Angeli proposes his project dedicated to Radiohead: not a pure and simple reinterpretation of songs by the famous English band, but a suite designed according to a precise dramaturgical thread in which ideas taken from the songs of the Thom Yorke band merge with ideas generated on the spot by the guitarist. Each performance by Paolo Angeli is in fact lived through the practice of free improvisation and represents a challenge to shape the sounds generated by what can be called a real “orchestra guitar”. Endless sonic surprises are guaranteed.
