Effetto Carsico is the first album by Friulian trumpeter Mirko Cisilino, one of the best new talents in Italian jazz in recent years. The album stems from his reflection on diversity and the need to represent in sound the search for a balance between life, jazz, popular music and song. A characteristic of the group is the lack of a harmonic instrument. The three wind instruments are arranged in such a way as to recall a rhythm & blues section at times and a small band at others, with the rhythm of the bass and drums sounding more rock-oriented than strictly jazz.
